Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College men's soccer team picked up their first conference win of the season this afternoon in dramatic fashion, defeating York College in overtime, 2-1. BC improves to 2-4-2 overall and 1-1 with the CUNYAC win. York dropped to 1-7 and 0-2 with the loss. Brooklyn will visit Manhattanville on Monday in a non-conference match.
Happy with the win against a tough opponent, BC Head Coach, Joe Andre, would comment following the match, "It was a tough match, but our conditioning helped us get better as the match wore on."
Match Notes
-With the match tied 1-1 in the first overtime period, senior midfielder
Jean-Luc Saint-Fleur would connect with senior midfielder Jordy Ortiz who would strike the winning goal into the net from the box in the 97th minute.
-York would take a 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute of the match and head into halftime up a goal.
-Senior forward Teon Chaumette tied the match in the 66th minute on a penalty kick.
-Brooklyn out-shot the Cardinals 24-16 for the match including 14-7 in the second half.

Utku Tanritanir finished with eight saves in all ninety-seven minutes of action.
