Oberlin, OH---The Brooklyn College men's soccer team suffered their first loss of the season this evening, falling at Oberlin College, 6-1, on their first of two matches scheduled in the Cleveland, OH area. BC will look to bounce back tomorrow evening at Case Western Reserve.
Disappointed with the loss but stressing the importance of learning and moving on, Head Coach, Joseph Andre, would comment after the match, "Tough game, but we came away with lessons for the long run."
Match Notes
-The Bulldogs would get on the board first on an
Ahmad Aly (Jr./M/Brooklyn, NY) goal by way of a through ball in the 22nd minute of the match. BC would keep the 1-0 advantage for just under five minutes.
-Oberlin tied the match in the 26th minute. They would score the game-winner a little over two minutes later.
-The home team added two more goals in the first 45 minutes of play to take a 4-1 halftime lead.
-OC added a pair of goals late in the match.
-Brooklyn was out-shot 30-4 on the evening. Of BC's four shots, three were on-goal.
-Sophomore goalie Utku Tanritanir finished with eight saves.
