Brooklyn, NY---Brooklyn College Swimming and Diving came out with a split this evening in both teams' regular season finale at home against St. Joseph's Brooklyn, with the men's team victorious, 65-20, while women fell to the Bears, 126-86. The men close out the regular season with a 4-4 record while the women move to 3-7. SJC's women improve to 6-8-1 with the non-conference win and the men drop to 0-11. The Bulldogs will have a week to prepare for the CUNYAC Championships that will take place February 2-4 at Lehman College.
Women's Meet Highlights
-Semona Bardman won the 500 yard freestyle final with a time of 6:51.32. Natalia Mrzglod finished in second place with a time of 7:13.49.
-Bardman finished second in the 1000 yard freestyle final with a time of 14:02.03.
-Crystal Mieux helped the Bulldogs to 18 points for the 1 and 3 meter dives.
Men's Meet Highlights
-Prior to the meet, seniors
Kevin Leung and Brian Jensen were recognized on Senior Night.
-Leung would win the 50 yard freestyle final with a time of 24.24 with Jensen coming in second place with a time of 25.00.
-Thomas Wong finished first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.07.
