Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College women's soccer team dropped its final home match of the 2018 Season this evening falling to Sarah Lawrence, 9-1, in non-conference play on Senior Night. Senior forward,
Keri Kenna, and senior back,
Jennifer Chino, would be honored prior to the match. Brooklyn drops to 3-11 with the loss while Sarah Lawrence improved to 7-7 with the victory. The Bulldogs close out the season on the road in non-conference play tomorrow at Manhattanville College. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm.
The senior Kenna and the Bulldogs would strike first in the 9' off of a cross place perfectly from freshman midfielder,
Farangiz Tohirova. SLC responded with the equalizer less than five minutes later. The Gryphons scored the game-winner in the 19' to take a 2-1 halftime lead.
Sarah Lawrence hit its stride beginning in the fourth minute of the second half and rolled from there until the final whistle.
The Gryphons out-shot the Bulldogs 27-10 for the match. Kenna finished with ten shots including six on goal in her final match at Brooklyn College Field. SLC also had eight corner kicks to Brooklyn's zero.
