Men's Soccer Falls to John Jay in CUNYAC Quarterfinal

Randall's Island, NY---The No. 5 seed Brooklyn College men's soccer team ended its season this afternoon falling to No. 4 seed John Jay College, 1-0, in the CUNYAC Championships quarterfinals.  BC closes out the 2018 campaign with a 4-14-1 overall record.  John Jay improves to 6-8-1 with the victory and will move on to the CUNYAC semifinals on Saturday against the top seed, Staten Island, at Brooklyn College Field.  

A close match throughout, the Bloodhounds were in the right place at the right time for the game-winner.  In the 18' of action, John Jay's Peter Ceesay would come up with a loose ball in the box and strike it home.  

Brooklyn had its opportunities in the second half, taking five of its six shots for the match in the final 45 minutes but couldn't get one to go.  The Bulldogs' last chance, a shot hit by senior Bokkar Ka in the 83', was saved by John Jay Keeper, Steven Tower.  

The Bloodhounds out-shot the Bulldogs 9-6 for the match.  Brooklyn out-shot John Jay 5-4 in the second period.

Brooklyn goalie, Arturo Zaraza, finished with three saves in all ninety minutes between the sticks.
