Women's Soccer Suffers Tough Loss at Valley Forge, 1-0

Phoenixville, PA---The Brooklyn College women's soccer team suffered a tough loss on the road this afternoon, falling to the University of Valley Forge, 1-0.  Brooklyn drops to 2-7 overall on the season while UVF improved to 6-4 with the non-conference win.  Brooklyn travels to Delaware, OH on Saturday, October 13, for a non-conference match at Ohio Wesleyan University.  

A close match played throughout, the Patriots scored the game-winner in the 25' of action and was able to hold off the Bulldogs for the remainder of the contest.  

The home team was the busier side offensively especially in the first period, outshooting the Bulldogs 7-1 through the first 45 minutes of play.  Brooklyn managed three shots for the match including two shots on goal.  

Brooklyn wasn't able to manage a corner kick for the contest.  UVF managed one each half.  

BC junior midfielder, Rita Henriquez, and freshman midfielder, Rachel Gomez, finished with the Bulldogs' shots on goal.  

Brooklyn junior, Jennifer Chino, had a solid outing for the first time in goal this season, finishing with five saves while facing 10 shots in all 90 minutes of action.
