New Rochelle, NY---The Brooklyn College men's swimming and diving team rolled to a 111-67 victory its first dual meet of the 2018-19 Season over the College of New Rochelle. The Bulldogs move to 1-0 with the victory. Brooklyn will have some time off before opening in its home pool against Purchase College on December 5 at 6:00 pm for a combined meet with the BC women's team.
The Bulldogs had a first place finish in every event but two for the meet. Newcomer,
Dorian Zaremba won the 1000 yard freestyle final with a time of 11:07.29. Sophomore standout, Omar Hasan-Hafez cruised to a first place finish in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 55.07. Fellow sophomore standout,
Thomas Wong, also had a convincing win in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:02.00.
First-year BC swimmer, Alex Chi, won the 200 yard freestyle final with a time of 2:16.10.
Arsenii Lyzenko followed as the top finisher in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.63.
