New Rochelle, NY----The Brooklyn College women's swimming and diving team was outscored by the College of New Rochelle, 97-69, and Queens College, 111-62, in tonight's non-conference tri-meet hosted by the New Rochelle. Brooklyn moves to 0-2 in head-to-head action following tonight's meet. The Bulldogs will swim in their Home Opener on Monday, November 19th, in conference action against John Jay College at 6:00 pm.
The Bulldogs got off to a solid start with a second-place finish in the 200 yard medley relay swum by
Melanie Deringer,
Emily Yang,
Leah Henry, and
Natalia Mrzyglod with a time of 2:20.25.
Melanie Deringer finished first in the 100 yard backstroke final with a time of 1:16.04.
Brooklyn closed out the meet with the second-fastest time in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:54.57 with the same foursome that started the meet in the 200 medley relay.
Division II Queens outscored both Brooklyn and New Rochelle for the evening.
