Bronx, NY---The Brooklyn College women's and men's swimming and diving teams both dropped conference meets to Lehman College this evening on the road.  BC's women move to 1-5 overall and 0-2 against CUNYAC opponents with the 102-88 loss while the men drop to 2-2 falling 105-93 in their first conference meet of the season. Both teams will be home against Baruch on Tuesday, January 8.  

The women started off strong by winning the first event of the evening, the 200 yard medley relay, with a time of 2:18.21.  Next, Semona Bardman won the 1000 yard freestyle final with a time of 14:54.66.  Stella Ryklis finished first in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:41.46.  Melanie Deringer took the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:17.43.  Coming off of a CUNYAC Rookie of the Week performance last week, Emily Yang continued the strong start to her collegiate career finishing first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:19.33.  

Brooklyn's men also started the meet off by winning the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 2:02.57.  Freshman Dorian Zaremba continued his strong start with a First Place finish in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:15.68.  Thomas Wong won the 50 yard freestyle final with a time of 24.52.  Zaremba picked up his second First PLace finish of the evening in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:13.46.  He picked up his third win in the 100 yard backstroke final with a time of 1:01.85.  Wong went on to win the 100 yard breaststroke final with a time of 1:02.90.
