Niv Konfino and Ben Batash, combining for 45 points, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team closed out the regular season this evening with a 102-72 conference victory at York College. Brooklyn heads into the CUNYAC Tournament as the No. 6 seed with a 7-18 overall record including a 7-9 mark in CUNYAC play. York ends the season with a 6-19 overall record including 3-13 in CUNYAC. The Bulldogs will be on the road on Saturday in the First Round of the CUNYAC Championships. Official seeding and schedule will be announced tomorrow, February 14th.
How It Happened
-A tie ball-game, 17-17, with 9:03 left in the first half, the Bulldogs made their move to take the lead for good with a 10-0 run sparked by a made three-pointer shot by Batash. Junior forward, Daniel Shulman capped the run with a three of his own with 6:22 remaining in the first half. Senior guard, Maynard Grant IV, gave BC their largest lead of the first half (19) on one of Brooklyn's 12 threes of the game.
-York cut the Brooklyn lead to as few as 13 points with 15:22 left in the game, before the Bulldogs responded with a 9-0 run starting with a three-point play converted by freshman forward, Alpha Bah. The Bulldogs kept a sizable lead from there on, ending the game with their largest lead.
-The home team led by as many as five points with 16:05 left in the first half.

-Brooklyn shot 41% from the field as a team to the Cardinals' 31% including 44% (12-27)to 26% (8-30) from beyond the arc.
-The Bulldogs shot 87% (28-32) from the free throw line to the Cardinals' 73% (14-19) for the game.
Leading the Bulldogs
-Konfino led all scorers with 26 points, shooting 19-20 from the charity stripe. Batash finished with 23 points while shooting 3-5 from behind the arc.
-Shulman provided a punch off of the bench, finishing 17 points, shooting 5-7 from three, and grabbing six rebounds.
-Bah reached double-figures in scoring finishing with 13 points. He also block two shots on the evening.
-Sophomore guard Michael Tesoriero dished out 9 assists and was a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line.

-Taishaun Forehand-Jenkins scored a team-high 20 points.
