Box Score Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Bulldogs could not extend their 13-game winning streak on Thursday evening as they fell to visiting CSI, 62-45.  Prior to tonight's game, Brooklyn's three seniors Breanna Maresca, Weronica Green and Karen Mak were honored.  Maresca and Mak are four-year players, while Green, a transfer is in her second season as a Bulldog. With the loss, Brooklyn falls to 20-3 on the year, and 12-2 in conference play, while the Dolphins improve to 18-5, 12-3.  Brooklyn can still clinch the #1 seed in the upcoming season with wins over John Jay and York.

How it Happened

-The contest started with an exciting first quarter that saw the Bulldogs take a 3-0 lead, and then after a Dolphin three tied the score at three, Brooklyn retained the lead for the remainder, while holding onto a four point advantage at the end of the period, 

-Staten Island's Victoria Crea's 3-3 from beyond the arc, allowed them to take back the lead in the second quarter and take a one point advantage, 29-28, into the locker room.

-The third quarter saw four lead changes, but the Dolphins went on a 11-4 run to close the quarter and took control of the contest.  Brooklyn only managed six points in the fourth quarter, and really struggled to make baskets.  

Box Score Breakdown

-For only the second time all season the Bulldogs were out rebounded.  Staten Island took the battle of the boards, 54-38.

-Brooklyn shot only 25% from the field for the game.

-The Dolphins only shot 35%, but made nine three-pointers and converted on some timely shots.

-Karen Mak had a team-high 16 points to go along with 7 boards.

-Alexandra Moogan had a team-high of 13 rebounds

-Jasmine Hansgen added 9 points and 7 rebound off the bench.

Leading the Dolphins

-CSI's Samantha Flecker led all scorers with 18 points.

-Diana Todaro had her best game of the year with 14 points and 20 rebounds.
