Karen Mak were honored. Maresca and Mak are four-year players, while Green, a transfer is in her second season as a Bulldog. With the loss, Brooklyn falls to 20-3 on the year, and 12-2 in conference play, while the Dolphins improve to 18-5, 12-3. Brooklyn can still clinch the #1 seed in the upcoming season with wins over John Jay and York.
How it Happened
-The contest started with an exciting first quarter that saw the Bulldogs take a 3-0 lead, and then after a Dolphin three tied the score at three, Brooklyn retained the lead for the remainder, while holding onto a four point advantage at the end of the period,
-Staten Island's Victoria Crea's 3-3 from beyond the arc, allowed them to take back the lead in the second quarter and take a one point advantage, 29-28, into the locker room.
-The third quarter saw four lead changes, but the Dolphins went on a 11-4 run to close the quarter and took control of the contest. Brooklyn only managed six points in the fourth quarter, and really struggled to make baskets.
