Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team picked up its seventh win in eight matches, defeating the College of Staten Island in a non-conference match, 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-22), at the West Quad Center tonight. Brooklyn improves to 10-8 with the victory while the Dolphins drop to 3-9. The Bulldogs will be back on their home court tomorrow evening in a non-conference match against Cairn University at 6:00 pm.
By the Set
-With Brooklyn already leading 15-10 in the first set, the Bulldogs would rally for four straight points including a pair of kills put away by sophomore middle hitter Ahmed Moawad. CSI would rally late in the first set with a 5-0 run to cut the BC lead to 24-20, Bulldogs the Bulldogs stopped the bleeding and took a 1-0 lead in the match on another kill put away by Moawad.
-BC set the tone for the second set early, jumping out to a 5-1 lead. The Bulldogs would lead the rest of the way through the set and close it out with a three-score rally capped by a service ace hit by junior opposite Hosep Ohanian.
-The Dolphins threatened in the third set, taking a late 21-18 lead. Brooklyn responded with a six-point rally, beginning with a kill put away by sophomore outside hitter Gabriel Pjatak, to take a 24-21 advantage. Senior middle hitter
Moaz Ali Choudhary ended the match with a kill on an assist from junior setter, Sayuj Zachariah.

-Choudhary finished with a season-high nine blocks on the evening.
-Pjatak led Brooklyn in kills with seven for the match.
