Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College women's tennis team made a big statement this afternoon, shutting out CUNYAC preseason favorite, Baruch College, 9-0, on the Roosevelt Tennis Courts.  Brooklyn improves 3-1 with the victory in its first conference match of the season.  Baruch moves to 1-1 overall and in CUNYAC.  The Bulldogs take to the road tomorrow, September 22, to take on Kean University at noon.  

Seniors Ievgeniia Kostenko and Shannel Johnson pulled out 11-9 tie breakers in No. 1 and No. 5 flight singles respectively.  Ironically, both also won their first sets, 7-5.
