BC Swimming and Diving Closes Out Regular Season with Non-Conference Wins at Bard

Annandale-on-Hudson---Both the Brooklyn College women's and men's swimming and diving teams closed out the regular season with non-conference wins at Bard College this afternoon.  BC's women rolled to their most convincing win of the season, 103.5-35.5, while the men rolled to an 85-61 win.  The program will have most of the week to prepare for the CUNYAC Championships, which kick off on Friday, February 1, at Lehman College.

The Brooklyn women were dominant on the day, winning every event with the exception of one.  Melanie Deringer had a standout afternoon, which included 1st Place finishes in the 400 IM and the 200 yard backstroke.  

On the men's side, Omar Hasan-Hafez, had a stellar meet finishing first in the 200 yard freestyle and the 100 yard freestyle.  Thomas Wong continued his strong year swimming the breaststroke finishing first in the 200 yard breaststroke final with a time of 2:31.94.
