Yonkers, NY---The Brooklyn College women's soccer team dropped a hard-fought non-conference match at Sarah Lawrence College tonight, 3-0. BC moves to 4-8-1 with the loss while SLC improves to 10-4-1 with the victory. Brooklyn closes out its conference slate at Lehman College on Wednesday, October 16, at 6pm.
Match Summary
-With a disciplined defensive scheme, the Bulldogs were in a tie with the high-powered Gryphon offense through the first half of play.
-The Gryphons eventually broke through in 51' on a through ball. Sarah Lawrence didn't waste any time scoring their second goal only a minute after the first.
-Sarah Lawrence padded its lead in 70' on a tough shot outisde of the box.
-Brooklyn goalie,
Carmen Proffitt, was key in the stalemate through the first fifty minutes of play with 10 first half saves. She would finish with 14 saves on the evening.
