BC Falls at Lehman, 5-2, in CUNYAC Quarterfinals to End Season

Box Score Bronx, NY---The Brooklyn College women's tennis team closed out their season this afternoon, falling at Lehman College, 5-2, in the quarterfinals of the CUNYAC Championships.  Brooklyn, the No. 5 seed heading into the tournament, ends the season with a 2-11 overall record.  No. 4 seed Lehman improves to 9-6 with the postseason win and will advance to the semifinals tomorrow, October 22, to take on No. 2 Hunter College.  

Match Summary

-With play suspended yesterday following doubles, Lehman came into singles action this afternoon with a 2-1 advantage.  
-BC senior, Clara Bosch, gave Brooklyn their lone win in singles play today, defeating the Lightning's Diwa Rana 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 2 Flight. 
-Lehman sealed the tournament win with singles wins at the No. 3 Flight through the No. 5 Flight.  
-Brooklyn senior, Tamila Latif-Zade, was trailing LC's Lizaveta Markouskaya 6-4, 4-2 at the top flight and BC junior, Hira Nasir, was trailing the Lightning's Leslie Juanacio, 5-4, in the first set at the No. 6 Flight when Lehman clinched the match.
