Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College men's basketball team dropped another tough loss at home to start the season, falling to No. 5 Wittenberg University, 87-78, this afternoon. BC drops to 0-2 with the non-conference loss while the Tigers begin their season with a win. The Bulldogs will look to bounce back on the road at Yeshiva University on Thursday, November 21, at 8pm.
Game Summary
-With the scored tied, 57-57, with 11:16 to go in regulation, the visitors went on an 8-0 run ending at the 8:31 and held on to the lead from that point on to close out the contest. BC didn't go away, making it a two-possession game, 73-69, with 5:43 to go, but the Tigers responded with a 6-0 run taking their first double-digit lead of the second half with 3:30 remaining.
-Brooklyn had its last lead of the game, 55-53, following a made three buried by senior guard,
Jordan Wright with 13:30 left in regulation.
-The Bulldogs jumped on Wittenberg early in the contest, taking a 10-4 lead in the first three minutes of action. BC's early spurt was capped by a fastbreak lay-in finished by senior guard,
Anthony McClean. The Tigers came back to lead by as many as 10 points in the first half. However, the Bulldogs went on a 10-0 run to tie to the game, 40-40, just before halftime. Wittenberg grabbed a two-point lead at the break, 42-40.
-BC shot 52.6% from behind the arc to the Tigers' 43.5%.
-The Tigers out-rebounded BC 22-7 on the offensive boards, scoring 25 second-chance points to the Bulldogs' five.

-Wright paced the Bulldogs with a team-high 28 points while shooting 5-8 from downtown.
-Junior forward,
Joevanny Dambreville, added 15 points and grabbed five boards.
-Senior guard,
Michael Tesoriero, chipped in 12 points on 4-6 from the floor.
Leading the Tigers
-Connor Seipel had a monster outing finishing with a game-high 33 points and grabbed 18 rebounds for the game-s only double-double.
-Jake Bertemes added 16 points while shooting 2-3 from behind the arc.
-Landon Martin added 15 points for the Tigers.
