Bulldogs End Season in CUNYAC Semifinals

Randall's Island, NY---The Brooklyn College women's soccer team ended their season this afternoon falling to John Jay College, 8-0, in the semifinals of the CUNYAC Championships tournament.  BC, the No. 4 seed in the tournament, closes out the year with a 4-12-1 overall record while the top-seeded Bloodhounds improve to 11-6-1. With the win, John Jay, the 2019 CUNYAC Regular Season Champions, advance to their second straight conference tourney final next Saturday, November 9, hosted at Brooklyn College. 

Match Summary

-John Jay struck first in 12' and added a goal just before halftime for a 2-0 advantage at the break. 
-A bad bounce gave the top seed a 3-0 lead on an own goal in 54'. 
-BC eventually wore down and the Bloodhounds found the goal five more times in the final 35 minutes of play. 
-Brooklyn senior goalie, Carmen Proffitt, finished with nine saves while facing 27 Bloodhound shots.
