Jamaica, NY----The Brooklyn College men's tennis team won its first match of the 2019 Season in conference play this afternoon, shutting out York College, 9-0. Brooklyn moves to 1-4 with the CUNYAC win while York drops to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play. The Bulldogs return to their non-conference schedule on Friday at home against St. Joseph's College Brooklyn at 3:00 pm.
Brooklyn jumped out tob 3-0 lead after dominating doubles play. Every Bulldog would go on to win straight sets. Freshman,
Christian Pena, didn't lose a game all afternoon with an 8-0 victory in No. 2 doubles and a (6-0, 6-0) victory at No. 4 singles.
