Patchogue, NY---The 2018 CUNYAC Champion BC women's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 victory over Skyline Conference champion, St. Joe's Long Island, this afternoon in a Spring tuneup before both teams play in the NCAA Tournament scheduled to begin on May 10. Brooklyn moves to 16-3 overall on the year with the win while the Golden Eagles go to 10-4.
Brooklyn dominated the top of the lineup in singles with
Ievgeniia Kostenko cruising to an 8-1 win at the top flight and
Tamila Latif-Zade rolling to an 8-2 win at the No. 2 slot. Senioe
Georgeen Belrose pulled out an 8-7 (7-3) at No. 4 Flight singles and fellow senior, Shanel Johnson, also won a close one, 8-7 (7-4), at No. 5.
