Box Score Brooklyn, NY----Down one game to start the match, the Brooklyn College women's volleyball team won three straight games to follow, pulling out a 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 31-29, 25-15) non-conference win at St. Joseph's College Brooklyn last night. Brooklyn improves to 6-4 with the win while St. Joe's dropped to 4-3. The Bulldogs return to CUNYAC play at home to take on John Jay College tomorrow, September 19, in a rematch of one of last year's CUNYAC tournament semifinal matches. Opening serve is set for 6:00 pm.
Match Summary
-With the first game tied 23-23, the Bears closed out the set on a kill and then a BC error. SJC rallied back from a 23-19 deficit late in the game.
-Brooklyn responded with a 4-0 lead to start the second set. The Bears attempted a late push again, but the Bulldogs cut the run short thanks to a service ace served up by freshman outside hitter,
Madison Cronk, late in the game and a kill put away by sophomore setter,
Ezri Shor, to end the game.
-The teams played marathon game in the third, Brooklyn's longest of the season. With the game tied 29-29, the Bulldogs got help from their standout freshmen, Cronk and opposite,
Ashley Fung, who hit back-to-back kills to end the game.
-BC rolled in the final game of the match, jumping out to a 14-3 lead and never looking back.
-Brooklyn hit .214 for the match to the Bears' .089 finishing with 56 kills as a team to 36.

-Fung finished with a career-high 19 kills for match-high honors. Cronk added 13 kills to go along with four service aces and a match-high 26 digs.
