Brooklyn, NY---The first place John Jay Bloodhounds shot 71% from three-point range to hand Brooklyn their second conference loss, 74-58. The two teams entered tonight as the only to teams in the league with one loss, and as the Bulldogs hoped to build on the four game win streak they accumulated prior to tonight, the team could only convert on 33% shooting from the field, falling to 4-2 in the league and 7-9 overall.
How it happened
- After Brooklyn would close an early deficit to three, 21-18, on a Jordan Wright bucket with 5:50 to play in the first, John Jay immediately answered with a 6-0 run, to take a 27-18 lead, and then closed the half on a 9-6 run, to take a 12 point advantage to the locker room.
- The second half saw Brooklyn struggle to put together any runs that would jeopardize the John Jay lead.
