Brooklyn, NY---A close match throughout, the Brooklyn College men's volleyball team had the last say this evening, outlasting St. Joseph's Brooklyn, 3-2 (25-16, 23-25, 25-23, 22-25, 22-20), in a non-conference borough battle on the road. Brooklyn moves to 3-1 overall with the win while the Bears drop to 0-2 to strat the season. The Bulldogs continue their non-conference slate on Sunday in a tri-match hosted by Stevens Tech where they will take on the Ducks and Hunter beginning at 1pm.
Match Summary
-BC controlled the first set and a after a three-score rally, took a late 21-13 lead.
-The home team responded, closing out the second game with a three-score rally after trailing 23-22 late in the game.
-Trailing the Bears 22-20, the Bulldogs clawed their way back, and thanks to four straight scores, took a 24-22 lead.
-St. Joe's would force a deciding set with a late five-point rally to take a 24-20 lead.
-Playing catch-up the majority of the fifth set, and on the brink of losing match, Brooklyn mustered up a three-point rally to pull out the win.

Jasper Diangco, put away a team-high 15 kills. Sophomore outside hitter,
Darren Roach, added 13 kills.
-Senior setter,
Michael Valentin, finished with a match-high 39 assists and served up three aces. He also had a team-high 25 digs.

-Ramizjon Khudoyorov came up with a match-high 30 digs.
