Bronx, NY---Picking up their second sweep of the season, the Brooklyn College men's volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 (25-20, 25-12, 25-19) at Lehman College tonight. A slated non-conference match tonight, the Bulldogs improve to 4-3 overall while the Lightning drops to 2-4. The Bulldogs will look to keep their momentum going at the College of St. Elizabeth on Wednesday, February 12.
How It Happened
- Holding on to a slim 19-17 lead in the first set, the Bulldogs rallied for four straight scores including back-to-back aces served up by sophomore middle hitter, Omar Rezika. BC closed out the set with a kill put away by Fidel Maldonado and a Jasper Diangco service ace.
- Brooklyn cruised through the second set, jumping out to a 10-3 lead. The Bulldogs won the set on three straight Lehman errors.
- A close game in the early points of the third, the Bulldogs delivered a devastating six-score rally to take an 11-6 advantage. The home team responded with a run of its own to cut the Brooklyn lead to 11-10. The Bulldogs never relinquished the lead and secured the match, thanks to a late five-point run to take a 24-18 lead.
