Randall's Island, NY---The Brooklyn College women's soccer team closed out their 2021 campaign on Saturday, falling to John Jay 4-0 in the semifinals of the CUNYAC Women's Soccer Championship Tournament. Entering the tournament as the No. 4 seed, BC ends the season with a 1-13 overall record. John Jay heads to their third straight conference championship with an 8-5 mark. The CUNYAC final will be played at Brooklyn College Field on November 6 at 2pm.
Brooklyn stuck to a stingy defensive game plan until the Bloodhounds were able to breakthrough in 30' for the game-winner. Two minutes later, John Jay struck again to take a 2-0 halftime lead.
The Bulldogs kept the regular season conference champs scoreless through most of the second half before relinquishing a goal in 83'. John Jay tacked on one more goal in 87' for the match's final score.
