Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College men's basketball team had a tough start to their break on Tuesday night, falling to SUNY Brockport, 84-50, in non-conference action at the West Quad Center. Brooklyn drops to 1-6 overall with the loss while the Golden Eagles move to 3-1. BC will look to bounce back on December 3 as they open CUNYAC play at home against Lehman at 7:15pm.
Brooklyn junior guard,
Kayin Olajide scored the game's opening basket to give BC their only lead of the contest, as Brockport responded with a 10-0 run. The visitors would go on to take a 40-18 halftime lead.
The Golden Eagles held the home team to 29.5% shooting from the floor on the evening while shooting 54.2% themselves.
Brooklyn was led offensively by senior guard
Noah Shy and sophomore forward,
Elisha Park, who scored 16 points a piece. Sophomore guard,
Zuric Harvey, added eight points to go along with a game-high eight assists.
Brockport's Jahidi Wallace scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the contest's only double-double.
