Brooklyn Women's Swimming Earns First Win at Lehman

Bronx, NY---The Brooklyn College women's swimming and diving team earned their first of the season at Lehman, 95-45, in a CUNYAC meet on Tuesday.  BC improves to 1-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference with the victory while Lehman drops to 2-6 overall and 0-2 against CUNYAC opponents.  The Bulldogs will be right back in the pool on the road on Wednesday for another conference meet at Baruch at 6pm.  

Brooklyn senior, Emily Yang, came up huge for the Bulldogs, winning all three of the events she swam in convincing fashion.  She began the evening by winning the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:45.59.  Next, she took the 500 yard freestyle by close to 1:20.  Yang ended the evening with a First Place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke, helping the Bulldogs to 27 points for the meet.  

Monica Prado Capon also had a standout meet, finishing first in the 50 yard freestyle.  She helped the Bulldogs to 9 First Place points in the 1000 yard freestyle.  

Anastassiya Gousseva won the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:58.58.
