Flushing, NY----Trailing 2-1 after singles, the Brooklyn College Women's Tennis team won four out of six singles matches to edge John Jay, 5-4, in conference play at the USTA National Tennis Center on Tuesday.  Brooklyn improves to 2-7 overall and 2-2 in CUNYAC with the win while John Jay drops to 2-6 and 0-3 respectively.  Next Up: The Bulldogs head up to Albertus Magnus for a non-conference match on Friday.  

The Rundown

• Junior, Veronika Tsiko, won the final match at No. 2 singles (1-6, 6-4, 6-4) to give the Bulldogs the team victory.  
• Tsiko and singles partner, Monica Prado Capon, gave Brooklyn their lone win in doubles at the top slot, 8-4.  
• Saoirse Siobhan Ebert rolled at No. 4 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 straight set victory.  
• Rebecca Finney and Marah Mustafa aslo cruised to straight set victories at the No. 5 and No.6 slots respectively.
