Bulldogs Coast to First Win in Front of Big West Quad Crowd

Box Score Brooklyn, NY---The Defending CUNYAC Champion, Brooklyn College Bulldogs, started the season with a big win in their home opener on Tuesday night, defeating visiting Farmingdale, 79-51, in front of a packed house at West Quad.  After a season of no spectators at BC in 2021-22, there was a great atmosphere in the gym to start the 2022-23 campaign.  Brooklyn College Student Government Sponsored a Pep Rally "Maroon Madness" as a part of BC Spirit Week. 

BC improves to 1-0 on the year, while the Rams fall to 0-1. Brooklyn will travel to Kean next week, next Wednesday, November 16th, to take on the Cougars in another non-league game.

The Rundown
  • Brooklyn came out on fire, knocking down 8 three-pointers in the first half, and scoring 74 points in the contest's first three quarters, to take a 39 point lead into quarter number four.
  • Brooklyn also dominated the offensive boards, with 16 on the evening.

Leading the Bulldogs
  • Four Bulldogs notched double figures, led by Gianna Gotti's 13 points - Sarah James (12), Dasha Goodman (11), Nancy Pham (10).
  • Pham's 7 assists led all players, while Brooklyn had 23 assists as a team on the evening.
  • Pham led the squad with 7 boards as well, while Goodman and freshman Cheyenne Castellano notched 6 a piece.
