No. 2 Bulldogs Fall Short to No. 3 Hunter in CUNYAC Semifinals

US National Tennis Center----The Brooklyn College men's tennis team closed out their season on Sunday, falling to Hunter College, 5-2, in the semifinals of the CUNYAC Championship Tournament.  BC ends their first season in two years with a 5-6 overall record, earning the No. 2 seed in the conference tourney after defeating Hunter during the regular season.  Hunter improves to 5-5 with the victory and advances to the CUNYAC tourney final against Baruch on Thursday.  

Trailing 3-0 after doubles play, BC freshman, Ryan Sham, gave the Bulldogs their first win of the day at No. 1 singles, (6-2, 6-3).  Senior, Christian Pena, helped cut the lead to 3-2 with a win at No. 4 singles (6-1, 6-0).  However, the Hawks clinched the team victory shortly after with singles wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 slots.
