Gianna Gotti Crowned NCAA Steals Per Game Champ

Brooklyn, NY----With the NCAA closing out the stats books for the 2021-22 season, Brooklyn College junior guard, Gianna Gotti, finished her first campaign as the Division III Women's Basketball steals per game champion, averaging 4.57 steals per contest.  She also finished second nationally in total steals with 105.  On the other side of the ball, Gotti finished 11th in the nation in assists per game, averaging 5.7 apg.  

Helping the Bulldogs to their second straight CUNYAC title and first win in the NCAA Tournament, Gotti had a season-high nine steals in a nono-conference win at Farmingdale on Nov. 11.  Following the season, Gotti would receive a number of accolades including being named a First Team CUNYAC All-Star, D3Hoops.com, All-Region, and Second Team All-ECAC.
