Old Westbury Second Half Goal Downs the Bulldogs, 1-0, at Home

Brooklyn, NY---An evenly played match throughout, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team was edged by Old Westbury, 1-0, on second half goal on Saturday.  The Bulldogs drop to 0-6-1 with the loss wile the Panthers picked up their first win of the season to improve to 1-3.  Next Up: The Bulldogs travel to Morristown, NJ on Wednesday to take on St. Elizabeth University for another non-conference tilt.  Kickoff is set for 4pm.  

The Rundown 
  • Despite the visitors out-shooting BC 8-4 in the first half, the teams would remain deadlocked, 0-0, at halftime.  
  • Old Westbury scored the game-winner off of a scramble in the box following a Panther corner kick in 60'.  
  • Brooklyn had a couple of late changes to score the equalizer but were denied by the OW keeper.  
  • BC out-shot Old Westbury 7-5 in the second half and finished with two more shots-on-goal for the match.
