Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Bulldogs Tripped Up at Home By Pratt, 4-1

Brooklyn College Field----The Brooklyn College women's soccer team dropped a tough loss to Pratt Institute on Thursday at home in non-conference action.  BC falls to 0-6 overall with the loss while the Cannoneers improve to 4-1.  Next Up: The Bulldogs head back on the road to Purchase on Monday, sept. 26 for a non-conference match at Purchase at 6pm.  

The Rundown
  • Pratt scored the first goal of the match in 12' on goal off of a rebound on previous shot saved by Brooklyn's keeper, Angelina Vasta.  BC scored the equalizer just four minutes later on a penalty kick converted by senior midfielder, Rachel Gomez, after feshman forward, Oshen Henderson, was fouled in the box on a breakaway.  
  • The visitors would score the game-winner on an own goal before converting  penalty kick themselves in 37' to take a 3-1 halftime lead.  
  • Following almost thirty minutes of back-and-forth action, Pratt scored the final goal of the game in 74' on through from the left wing to the center.  
  • Brooklyn was out-shot 21-4 for the match.  
Leading the Bulldogs
  • Oshen Henderson had three shots including one saved by the Pratt keeper. 
  • Gomez scored her second goal of the season on the penalty kick.  
  • Making a number of key plays away from the goal on the afternoon, Vasta finished with a match-high 10 saves.  
Leading the Cannoneers
  • Siena Sujinto scored a goal on nine shots including 7 on-goal.  
  • Katherine Thomsen finished with a match-high 3 points on a goal and an assist.
