BC Women's Soccer Drops Home Opener to St. Joe's Brooklyn in Tale of Two Halves

Brooklyn College Field----A scoreless match at halftime, the Brooklyn College Women's Soccer team wasn't able to hold off a St. Joseph's Brooklyn surge in the second half as the Bears scored five goals in the final forty-five minutes of action on Wednesday.  Brooklyn drops to 0-2 with the non-conference loss while the Bears picked up their first win of the season to improve to 1-1.  Next Up: The Bulldogs travel to St. Elizabeth University on Friday for a non-conference match at 3pm.

  • St. Joe's scored the game winner in 56' after making some adjustments at halftime.  
  • The Bears' Mia Castaneda scored four of St. Joe's five goals in the second half and assisted on one to Katherine Barrios in 58'.
