Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team got their fourth straight win, outlasting Hunter, 83-75, on Friday evening, to improve to 5-0 in CUNYAC play (8-7 overall). The Hawks fall to 8-8, 3-2 CUNYAC.
The Rundown
- Hunter started the game on fire, taking a 9-2 lead to start the contest, as Alexa Charles knocked down a three-pointer.
- Brooklyn was able to cut the deficit to two to end the quarter, and then took a five point lead to start the second on three consecutive three-pointers. Gianna Gotti was able to close the half out on a breakaway layup, giving Brooklyn the eight point halftime advantage, as Gotti led all scorers at intermission with 22 points.
- After taking a 13-point lead at the end of three, Brooklyn was able to open the lead up to 16 a couple of times in the fourth, as Mary Dolgin and Ericka James connected on threes.
Leading the Bulldogs
- Gotti led all scorers with 35 points, while filling up the stat sheet with 10 steals and 7 assists.
- Ericka James added 17 points, while Dasha Goodman scored 14.
- Sarah James came of the BC bench with a team-high 7 boards, while adding 3 assists.
Leading the Hawks
- Charles scored 28 points before fouling out in the fourth.
