Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team defeated John Jay on Tuesday evening, 75-63, at West Quad, as they improve to 2-0 in CUNYAC Play (5-7 overall). The Bloodhounds fall to 7-6, 1-1 CUNYAC. At halftime of the men's game, Brooklyn honored the 2019-2020 & 2021-2022, CUNYAC Back to Back Champions with Championship Rings.Â
The Rundown
- After John Jay took an early 12-8 lead, Brooklyn went on a 12-0 run to retake a 20-12 advantage. The team never looked back, taking their biggest lead, 66-46, midway through the fourth quarter.
- Gianna Gotti led all scorers with 26 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Nancy Pham (11), Aleah Rafat (10) and Brianna Gutierrez (10) all got into double figures as well.
- Katie Healy led John Jay with 19 points and 12 boards.
Up Next
Brooklyn will travel to Medgar Evers on Friday evening for another conference contest. It will be the first time the Bulldogs take on the Cougars since the 2019-2020 season.
