Box Score Randall's Island, NY----Playing to a draw in their regular season match, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team made sure they scored that one extra goal to knock off No. 4 seed, John Jay, in the Quarterfinals of the CUNYAC Championship Tournament on Wednesday. Brooklyn improves to 5-9-1 with the win while the Bloodhounds end the season with a 6-7-2 overall record. Entering the tourney as the No. 5 seed, the Bulldogs will now take on top-seed, Lehman, in the semifinals on Saturday.
How It Happened
- The Bulldogs struck first on the afternoon as sophomore midfielder, Bradlej Cupi, stole the ball in front of John Jay's goal and scored in 12'. Brooklyn would head into halftime with the 1-0 advantage.
- John Jay wouldn't do down without a fight, tying the match on a free kick goal in 51'.
- A little over five minutes after the Bloodhounds' score, freshman forward, Rayan Vukovic, knocked in the game-winner on a give-and-go assist from freshman midfielder, George Koufos.
- BC senior goalkeeper had a stellar afternoon between the sticks, finishing with 10 saves while facing 17 shots in all ninety minutes of action.
