Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College women's soccer team dropped their CUNYAC opener on Saturday, 5-1, at Brooklyn College Field.  BC moves to 1-7-2 overall with the loss while the Lightning improves to 2-5-1 overall in their first conference game of the season.

How It Happened

• Lehman's Melanie Siranaula scored the match's first three goals, giving the visitors a 3-0 halftime cushion. 
• Siranaula scored her fourth goal of the match in 60' to give Lehman a 4-0 advantage. 
• Brooklyn avoided the shutout as sophomore midfielder, Sage Bernstein, was fouled in the box and converted the penalty kick in 66'. 
• Lehman responded with a late goal in 86' on a Barabara Meda goal thanks to a cross from Maria Martinez. 
• The teams finished in shots taken for the match at 11 with Brooklyn having a slight edge in shots-on-goal, 7-6.
