Rochester, NY---Despite a game-high 21 points scored by senior guard,
Ericka James, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team wasn't able to knock off host, Nazareth University, falling to the Golden Flyers in the final game of the Sandy DeWolf McCormack Memorial Holiday Tournament on Saturday, 65-46. BC moves to 6-5 overall with the non-conference loss while the Golden Flyers improve to 10-1. In the first game on the second day of the tourney, Baruch fell to SUNY Poly, 65-54.

How It Happened
- Brooklyn scored first on a three-point make buried by sophomore guard, Anna Kitch. However, the host responded with an 11-0 run before BC senior forward, Sarah James, finished in the paint with 6:51 to go in the opening quarter. The Bulldogs cut Naz's lead to 14-13 following a three drained by junior guard, Alina Estrella, but wouldn't be able to regain the lead.
- The Bulldogs knocked on the door again in the second quarter, after Ericka James knocked down a three to cut Nazareth's lead to 32-31 with 4:01 left in the first half. Naz extended their lead back up to seven points by halftime.
- Nazareth limited Brooklyn to just 11 points in the second half while methodically building their lead especially in the fourth quarter.
- The host shot a little over 40% from the field as a team to Brooklyn's 35%. Brooklyn did finish with a 38% to 17% shooting mark from behind the arc for the game. Naz out-rebounded the Bulldogs 18-11 on the offensive boards, scoring 14 points on their second chances.
- Four starters scored in double-figures for the Golden Flyers, led by Molly Benetti's team-high 13 points.
For the Bulldogs
- James shot 8-14 from the field on the afternoon including 5-9 from beyond the arc. She also blocked two shots on the day.
- Estrella chipped in seven points and grabbed seven rebounds.
- Kitch finished with a team-high eight rebounds.
