New York, NY---Gianna Gotti surpassed 1000 career points as the Brooklyn College women's basketball team pulled out a hard-fought conference win at Hunter College on Wednesday.  BC improves to 15-7 overall and remains a perfect 12-0 in CUNYAC play while Hunter drops to 12-11 and 7-5 respectively.  Next Up: The Bulldogs return home to host CCNY on Friday in the first game of a CUNYAC doubleheader beginning at 5pm.  

The Rundown

• Clinging to a 62-61 lead with 7:19 remaining in regulation, the Bulldogs went on an 11-0 run capped at the 2:10 mark.  Brooklyn outscored the Hawks 16-8 in the final quarter.  
• BC would trail the home team by as many as eight points with 6:30 to go in the third quarter before responding with 10-2 run sparked by five straight points scored by freshman guard, Dior Dorsey.  Gotti tied the game, 46-46, on a made three to surpass the 1000-point milestone with 3:36 left in the third quarter.  
• A closely contested game through the first half, Brooklyn would keep a 34-32 halftime advantage.  
• Brooklyn out-rebounded Hunter 29-9 on the offensive boards while scoring 29 second chance points for the game.  
• BC was near perfect from the free throw line on the evening, shooting 9-10.  

Leading the Bulldogs

• Gotti scored 15 of her game-high 23 points in the second half while flirting with another double-double, grabbing 9 rebounds.  She also dished out 7 assists and came up with 5 steals.  
• Giving Brooklyn a big lift in the third quarter, Dorsey finished with 12 points and 6 rebounds.  
• Senior forward, Sarah James, added 10 points on 4-6 shooting from the field and grabbed 7 boards.  
• Senior guard, Ericka James grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds to go along with 7 points.  

Leading Hunter

• Erin Cosio scored a team-high 20 points and dished out 6 assists. 
• Alexa Charles added 17 points and grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds.
