Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College men's cruised to their first conference win of the season on Tuesday, defeating York College, 3-0 (25-3, 25-5, 25-9), at the West Quad Gymnasium. BC moves to 5-9 overall and 1-3 in CUNYAC with the win while York fell in their first match of the season. Next Up: Brooklyn continues conference play at CCNY on Thursday, March 9, at 7pm.
How It Happened
- After York scored the first point of the match, the Bulldogs responded with an 11-0 run including seven aces served up by junior setter, Tommy Min. The Bulldogs continued to dominate the opening set, closing it out on a six-score rally.
- Brooklyn jumped out to a 12-0 lead to start the second set and never looked back.
- York opened the third set with a service ace, but the Bulldogs took the lead for good beginning with a five-point rally. Brooklyn extended their lead to 13-2 before running away with the match.
