Jamaica, NY----The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team rolled to a pair of sweeps at York College to close out the 2023 season.  BC took the first match of the evening, 3-0 (25-17, 25-6, 25-9) before ending the night, 3-0 (25-10, 25-17, 25-10), in the second match.  Brooklyn ends the season with a 10-16 overall mark, surpassing last season's win total by four.  York drops to 0-15 with the losses.  

How It Happened

• Clinging to an 18-17 lead in the first set of the night, Brooklyn closed out the set seven score rally capped by a kill put away by freshman outside hitter, Jiaian Flanders.  Brooklyn jumped out to big early leads in the next two sets, cruising to their fifth win of the season over the Cardinals.  
• After rolling in the first set of the second match, the home team took an early 9-8 lead in the second set.  However, the Bulldogs responded with a seven-score rally including four aces served up by junior outside hitter, Tommy Min, to take complete control of the set.  BC jumped out to an 8-0 lead to strat the final set of the evening and never looked by.  
• The Bulldogs dominated every statistical category on the night.  

Leading the Bulldogs 

• Min led the way with 14 kills, 21 digs, and 10 service aces between the two matches.  
• Senior outside hitter, Andres Vargas, chipped in 11 kills and came up with eight digs.  
• Sophomore setter, David Lema, totaled 36 assists and served up 15 aces.
