BC Halted By Hunter College in 2-0 Loss

BROOKLYN, New York --- Coming into Saturday afternoon, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team had just gotten their first win of the season in a blowout. Unfortunately, that momentum was sadly put on hold as they would drop this game 2-0 against the Hunter College Hawks. The Bulldogs move to 1-5-0 overall and 1-1 in CUNYAC play, while the Hawks go to 2-5-1 overall and 1-0-1 in conference play.

How It Happened:

  • The two teams were evenly matched for the most part, but although Brooklyn would outshoot Hunter 10 shots to 8 in the first half, they would get fewer shots on goal as Hunter would get 11 shots on goal to Brooklyn's 8.
  • Hunter's Bradley Espejo would be involved in both goals, first assisting Conor Sullivan for the first goal of the game with a set piece from a left-side corner kick from Ahmed Abukar in 29' and converted a penalty kick in 58'.
