Jamaica, NY---On Friday, the Brooklyn College women's tennis team picked up their first victory of the season, rolling to a 7-2 conference victory at York.  The Bulldogs move to 1-8 overall and 1-2 in CUNYAC with the win while the Cardinals drop to 0-8 and 0-5 respectively.  Next Up: BC is back at home on Saturday, 10/19, for a non-conference clash with Kean at 1pm.  

How It Happened

• Natalia Urbaez and Diana Rezk gave Brooklyn their first win of the afternoon at No. 2 doubles with an 8-6 victory.  Sophia Kebadze and Medina Kuc battled to an 8-7 (7-2) win at No. 1 doubles giving BC a 2-1 lead heading into singles.  
• Anabel Greenberg gave BC their first win in singles at the No. 2 slot, (6-0, 6-1).  Diana Rezk followed with a (6-2, 6-1) victory at No. 5 singles.  Urbaez secured the team win for Brooklyn by prevailing (6-1, 6-4) at No. 3 singles.  Tiffany Edwards scored a (6-0, 6-0) straight set shutout at No. 6 singles.  Sophia Kebadze pulled out her second close victory of the day at No. 4 singles with a 6-3, 3-6, 10-6) win.
