Flushing, NY----Playing in their second match in as many days, the Brooklyn College women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to conference-leading Baruch on Sunday at the USTA National Tennis Center. Brooklyn moves to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in CUNYAC with the loss while the Bearcats improve 8-1 and 4-0 respectively. Next Up: Brooklyn travels to Sarah Lawrence for a non-conference on Thursday, 10/11, at 6pm.
How It Happened
- Baruch would jump out to a 2-0 lead in doubles at the top two slots in doubles. Brooklyn's Tiffany Edwards and Nora Zhu cut the Bearcats' lead to 2-1 heading into singles play with an 8-6 victory at No. 3 doubles.
- The Bearcats would take singles matches No. 1 through No. 5 in straight sets.
- Edwards notched her second win of the day at No. 6 singles with a (6-1, 6-1) victory.
