BROOKLYN, New York ------ Coming into Friday's first meet at home, the Brooklyn College women's swimming and diving team would host the Purchase College Panthers in their second non-conference encounter of the season. The Bulldogs would take a convincing victory once again with a 111-63 score.
The Brooklyn College Bulldogs (4-3) improve to a winning record for the first time this season, while the Purchase College Panthers (0-5) are still in search of their first win this season.
Brooklyn would start off strong in Event 1, taking the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 2:29.83, almost 8Â seconds ahead.
Erin Forrest would win the first singles event for the Bulldogs in Event 7, winning the 50-Yard Freestyle with a time of 26.81, which was a 10-second difference between her and second place.
Forrest would then take home two more events including Event 15's 100-Yard Freestyle with a time of 59.07, where she would be the only competitor to finish below a minute. In Event 19's 500-Yard Freestyle, she would finish with a time of 6:17.65, over 23 seconds ahead of second place.
Anastasia Kutuzov would get an automatic win in Event 13's 100-Yard Butterfly, thanks to the fact only Bulldogs swimmers would be present, but would then take Event 23's 100-yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:13.34, 30 seconds ahead of her opponent.
Up next, the Brooklyn College women's swimming and diving team travels to Patchogue, New York to face the St. Jospeh's University-Long Island Golden Eagles on Friday November 22nd at 7pm.
