BC Women's Swimming & Diving Gain Second Win of the Season

Bulldogs Take Win Away From Golden Eagles' Beaks

PATCHOGUE, NY--- Coming into Saturday's non-conference meet, the Brooklyn College women's swimming and diving team would travel to face the St. Joseph's University-Long Island Golden Eagles. Despite being away from home once again, the Bulldogs would steal away a 95-82 win in their first visit to Long Island this season.

The Brooklyn College Bulldogs (2-3) improve after some tough losses during the road stretch, while the St. Joseph's-Long Island Golden Eagles (0-2) will have to look forward to the rematch later this month.

Brooklyn would start off trailing, but would take their first event in Event 13, the 100yd Freestyle, thanks to Anastasia Kutuzov with a time of 1:03.16, a little less than 4 seconds ahead of second place.

Erin Forrest would go onto take the 500yd Freestyle in Event 17 with a time of 6:36.09, swimming away from second place by a little over 34 seconds.

Kutuzov would also take the 100yd Breaststroke in Event 19 with a time of 1:17.35, just ahead of her second-place teammate, Elizabeth Bailey, who would finish with a time of 1:26.78 in the same event.

Trailing 82-80, the Bulldogs would participate in Event 21's 200yd Freestyle Relay and win it to finish off the road trip with a win.

Next up, the Brooklyn College women's swimming and diving team comes back home to the West Quad Pool for their first conference meet with the John Jay College Bloodhounds on Tuesday, November 12th, at 6pm.
