PATCHOGUE, NY--- Coming into Friday's non-conference meet, the Brooklyn College women's swimming and diving team would travel to Long Island to face the St. Joseph's University-Long Island Golden Eagles, who were also hosting the Maritime College Privateers. They were able to take down both Maritime College by a score of 106-84, and narrowly defeat St. Joseph's University 87-84 in their second visit to Long Island.
The Brooklyn College Bulldogs (6-3) continue to rack up victories during this stretch to preserve their winning record, while the Maritime College Privateers (2-7) continue to struggle after this meet and St. Joseph's-Long Island Golden Eagles (1-3) finally get their first victory of the season.
Erin Forrest would start off strong in Event 3, finishing with a time of 13:12.68 in the 1000-yard Freestyle, finishing about 2 minutes faster than second place.
Anaastasia Kutuzov beat her opponents by nearly a whole second in the 50-yard Freestyle with a time of 27.74 to win Event 7.
Forrest would take two more events in Event 13's 100-yard Freestyle by three seconds with a time of 1:03.04 and Event 17 with a time of 6:14.98 in the 500-yard freestyle.
Next up, the Brooklyn College women's swimming and diving team continue on the road for a rematch with the William Paterson University Pioneers in Wayne, New Jersey on Saturday, December 7th at 1pm.
