Brooklyn, NY---Despite coming back from a 2-0 deficit to force a fifth and deciding set, the Brooklyn College men's volleyball team dropped their fifth straight match at home on Thursday to Manhattanville College, 3-2 (25-19, 25-20, 22-25, 16-25, 15-11). Brooklyn falls to 3-6 overall with the non-conference loss while the Valiants improve to 4-7.

- Brooklyn will look to bounce back in a non-conference trimatch at Old Westbury on Saturday where they will take on Pratt at 12pm and the host at 2pm.
How It Happened
- The visitors jumped out to a 7-2 lead to set the tone of the opening set.
- Brooklyn seemed to recover by the start of the second set, taking an early 3-0 lead. However, the Valiants answered the call and the teams would go back-and-forth, exchanging small leads until Manhattanville took control of the set, going on a 6-0 run for a 23-16 advantage down the stretch.
- The Bulldogs wouldn't go away and dominated the third set and after a 4-0 run sparked by an Armand Kaloshi kill, BC would lead 20-11. Omar Shawki ended the set with a kill.
- With Brooklyn trailing 9-8 in the fourth set, the Bulldogs would go on an eight-point rally sparked by back-to-back kills put away by Jiaian Flanders and Aaron Siu to go up 16-9. BC continued to roll and thanks to another 6-0 run, found themselves with a commanding 23-13 lead that they wouldn't relinquish.
- Brooklyn jumped out to a 3-1 lead before the visitors responded with four straight scores to go up 5-3. With the score tied 6-6, Manhattanville secured the match thanks in part to another four-score rally for a 10-6 advantage. Brooklyn hung around until the very end, but a pair of late service errors proved costly.
- Manhattanville served up 11 aces to the Bulldogs' five. Brooklyn did finish with a 49-47 advantage in kills.
For the Bulldogs
- Siu led the way offensively with a team-high 15 kills and 16 digs.
- Jason Lin put away 12 kills and had a five blocks including three solo.
- David Lema finished with a match-high 42 assists while coming up with 12 digs.
