Bulldogs Cruise to CUNYAC Victory in Battle of Brooklyn at Medgar Evers

Brooklyn, NY----Paced by senior guard Ericka James' game-high 19 points, the Brooklyn College women's basketball rolled their second straight conference victory at Medgar Evers, 75-43, on Friday.  BC improves to 15-8 overall and 10-2 in CUNYAC with the win while the Cougars drop to 7-11 and 4-9 respectively.

  • The Bulldogs close out the regular season at home on Senior Night in conference play against CCNY.  Tip-off is set for 5pm. 
How It Happened
  • BC jumped out to a 6-0 lead to start the contest on back-to-back three-point field goals knocked down by Ericka James and Anna Kitch.
  • The Bulldogs got out to a quick start in the second quarter as well beginning with a 7-0 run. 
  • Brooklyn extended their lead to 50-21 by halftime. 
  • The Bulldogs continued to roll in the second half beginning with a 13-2 run and never looked back. 
  • BC scored 22 points off of 21 MEC turnovers.  The Bulldogs' bench contributed 32 points on the evening. 
For the Bulldogs
  • Ericka James knocked down five three-point field goals on the evening and grabbed six boards. 
  • Sophomore guard, Dior Dorsey, scored 12 points and came up with five steals off of the bench. 
  • Kitch flirted with a double-double finishing with nine points and nine boards.
  • Senior guard, Alina Estrella, chipped in nine points and dished out four assists.
